High Beam Bulb Change and Install for BMW 328i LED Headlights H7 Bulb Replacement made easy

How to install

You may find your halogen high beam bulbs are quite dim, which may make it hard to see in front, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading your old halogen bulbs of your 2010 BMW 328I  to new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle as well as  enhance  visibility at night for safer driving experience.

If choose to upgrade your old halogen high beam bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct LED replacement high beam bulb by referencing the original stock halogen bulb part number located in the vehicles direct owner’s manual or directly on the original high beam bulb.

The following information is a step by step instructions on how to install your new H7 LED high beam bulb. Please note, the model in the video has been discontinued however we have newer brighter bulbs available. Please see the link below for our H7 bulb suggestion.

Compatible Vehicles: 2009 BMW 328i,  2010 BMW 328i, 2011 BMW 328i, 2012 BMW 328i, 2013 BMW 328i, 2014 BMW 328i, 2015 BMW 328i, 2016 BMW 328i

Tools Required: The following will be the recommended tools required for your installation. 

No tools required! 

Lets Get Started!!!

Step: 1) Locate the dust cover behind the headlight and lift the metal wire to free the dust cover.

Step: 2) Before you can unlatch the bulb spring you will need to disconnect the bulb plug by pulling directly away from the bulb.

 

Step: 3) Push the metal spring down and our of the grove to free the bulb.

Step: 4) To install the LED bulb, remove the chuck from the LED bulb by rotating clockwise and place in the headlight housing by aligning the tabs at the top and bottom of the chuck. Lock into place with the metal spring clip.

Step: 5)  Plug in the wire connector for the bulb to the car.

Step: 6) Install the LED bulb by lining up the tabs and pushing it into the chuck. Give it a half turn clockwise to lock it in

Step: 7) Make sure the LED chips on the bulb will lock in place inside of the housing at 3 and 9 o’clock.

Step 8) Tuck any extra wire or LED driver into the headlight housing. Reinstall the dust cover by inserting the bottom first and pulling the metal locking spring over the dust cover.

Repeat steps 1-9 to replace the other side.

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete. If you experienced any issues in which unable to complete installation please contact us for assistance. If the  LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
