Dodge Challenger- How to install LED bulbs on a 2015 – 2020 Dodge Challenger Headlight application. New LED headlights.
You may find your halogen bulbs are quite dim, which may make it hard to see in front, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading your old halogen bulbs of your Dodge Challenger to new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle as well as enhance visibility at night for safer driving experience.
If choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct LED replacement bulb by referencing the original stock halogen bulb part number located in the vehicles direct owner’s manual or directly on the original bulb.

The following information is a step by step instructions on how to install your new 9012 high/low LED bulbs.

Tools Required to install your new LED bulbs for your Dodge Challenger: The following will be the recommended tools required for your installation.
Lets Get Started!!!
Step: 1) Remove the plastic shroud and air filter. The plastic shroud has 2 retaining clips on the bottom and 2 more on the side. Begin by fitting your hand under the shroud and pulling up. To release the 2 clips on the side pull towards the center of the car.
Step: 2) Removing the air filter. Removing the 3/16 bolt holding it in place as shown in the image below. The air filter should be able to be pulled up and out of the way. Now you have more access to the driver side of the vehicle.
Step: 3) Remove the dust cover by twisting counter clockwise until you are able to pull the dust cover out.
Step: 4) Please note the position of the bulb as this will help you in the installation process. Turn the bulb clockwise until you are able to pull the bulb out of the headlight housing and remove the connector by lifting the plastic tabs over the locking tab.
Step: 5) Test the LED bulbs by plugging the bulb into the vehicle and powering it for a short amount of time. If the bulb does not power please try flipping the connector to reverse polarity.
Step: 6) Adjust the Beam. The LED chips on the bulb should be at 3 O’clock and 9 O’clock (left to right) with the cord facing down towards the ground when locked into place. Using the included allen wrench twist the bulb . Insert the bulb into the housing by lining up the locking tabs and twisting counter-clockwise to lock the bulb into place.
*If any flickering is encountered a decoder will be required to stabilize the current to to the LED bulb. Installation is simple as the decoder works as an extension in between the vehicle harness and LED bulb.
Step: 7) Reinstall your dust cover by lining the locking tabs and twisting clockwise to lock into place.
* If your LED bulb does not allow your dust cover to fit, aftermarket dust covers are available. Please measure the opening of the housing from the outer lip of the opening. The dust cover shown below is 1mm larger than the opening.
Step: 8) Reinstall the air filter by lining up the vent at the button and reinstalling the 3/16 bolt.

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete. If you experienced any issues in which unable to complete installation please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
