2000 – 2004 Ford Excursion Best LED headlight upgrade & installation
How to install
You may find your halogen bulbs are quite dim, which may make it hard to see in front, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading your old halogen bulbs of your 2000-2004 Ford Excursion to new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle as well as enhance visibility at night for safer driving experience.
If choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct LED replacement bulb by referencing the original stock halogen bulb part number located in the vehicles direct owner’s manual or directly on the original bulb. Â
Below we will show you how to install your new ALLA Lighting LED bulbs to your 2000-2004 Ford Excursion low/high beam

The following information is a step by step instructions on how to install your new ALLA Lighting 9007 S-HCR LED bulbs.Â
Compatible Vehicles: 2000Â Ford Excursion, 2001Â Ford Excursion, 2002Â Ford Excursion, 2003Â Ford Excursion, 2004Â Ford Excursion
Tools Required: The following will be the recommended tools required for your installation.Â
Lets Get Started!!!
Step: 1) Remove the clips retaining the headlight housing. There is 2 clips located along the top and one in the back next to the bulb. Remove the clip by prying the clip away from the screw (similar to a brake line clip).Â
*Note: You can access the bulbs without removing the housing if you wish to do so however we have found this to complicate the installation due to space restrictions.Â
Step: 2) Locate the bulb retention ring and remove it by twisting counter clockwise.Â
Step: 3) Pull the bulb out of the housing and disconnect the vehicle harness from the bulb connector by lifting up on the clip latch and pulling the bulb and harness away from each other. Â
Step: 4) Note the tabs on the bulb locking ring as well as the tabs on the bulb. When installing the new LED bulb, at times the locking ring will not fit over the fan and you have to remove the chuck from the LED bulb to slip the locking collar over the bulb, then reinstall and lock the chuck so that the locking ring is in between the LED bulb fan and the LED bulb chuck.Â
For this particular vehicle and LED model, the locking ring is able to fit over the back of the LED bulb fan and allows you to insert the bulb into the headlight housing then slip the collar over the rear of the bulb and lock the bulb into place.Â
When the bulb is locked into the ring and the housing, the LED chips of the new bulb must be left to right with the LED chip furthest forward being your high beam. Most of our bulbs offer some adjustability to get the perfect beam pattern. The S-HCR LED bulb comes with an Allen key so that you may adjust as needed. Step: 5) Once the bulb is installed, connect the bulb to the vehicle connector and test the bulb for power and beam direction. Once again the LED chips of the bulb should be left to right with the LED chip furthest forward at the top. Once completed repeat the steps on the opposing side to complete vehicle.Â

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete. If you experienced any issues in which unable to complete installation please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
