The halogen interior bulbs may be too dim in your 2022 Kia Soul, which can make vision difficult, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading the old halogen bulbs on your Kia Soul with new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle and improve visibility at night for a safer driving experience.
If you choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct replacement LED bulb by referring to the original bulb or the vehicle’s direct owner’s manual.
We will show you how to install your new ALLA Lighting LED bulbs for your 2022 Kia Soul Map, Glove Box, Dome, Trunk and License plate lights applications.
2022 KIA SOUL MAP LIGHT
Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- Flat Trim Tool
Step #1
We will begin with the driver side map light console, there are two clips and two brackets used to lock the lens
Step #2
Insert the trim tool to pry out one side of the lens. we will highlight the two clips and two brackets on the lens which will be helpful when it’s time to close the lens after installation
Step #3
Remove the incandescent bulb by pulling it out
Step #4
Install the new Ala lighting LED bulb and test it.
Step #5
Now align the two clips to the console opening and push up the other Corners to lock it, you will hear a snap once it is locked in.
Step #6
Repeat the steps on the passenger side
Step #7
Insert the trim tool to pry out one side of the lens
Step #8
Remove the incandescent bulb by pulling it out
Step #9
Install the new Alla lighting LED bulb and test it.
Step #10
Align the two clips to the console opening and push up the other Corners to lock it, you will hear a snap once it is locked in
When we test the output with our light meter, the Lux of the LED is almost 10 times brighter than the incandescent bulb.Â
The LED bulbs light up the entire interior.
2022 KIA SOUL GLOVE BOX LIGHT
Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- Trim Tool
Step #1
First locate the glove box and open it, the light is located in the top area.
Step #2
Pry open the right side and pull out the light housing. here we are showing the tab that locks the housing in place.
Step #3
While using the trim tool remove the incandescent light bulb this is the metal tab that you push down to release the bulb.
Step #4
Install the LED light bulb and rotate it to face down.
Step #5
Insert the light housing back into the socket until it is locked in.
Step #6

2022 KIA SOUL DOME LIGHT
Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- Flathead screwdriver.
Step #1
We will first locate the dome light, there are four clips holding the cover.
Step #2
Begin by using the flathead screwdriver to pry open the cover from one side.Â
Step #3
Here is a comparison on all four clip.
Step #4
Pull the incandescent bulb straight out of the housing.
Step #5
Insert the LED bulb into the same slot with the LED chip facing down.Â
Step #6
Test our new LED Switchback bulb, before putting the cover back on, switch the on and off button to change colors.
Step #7
The clips will need to be aligned upon reinstallation. Push the cover in until you hear a click on these two clips.

2022 KIA SOUL TRUNK LIGHTS
Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- Flathead screwdriver.
Step # 1
The trunk light is located on the driver’s side, there are two clips to lock the assembly.
Step # 2
Insert the screwdriver to pry out the top side of the lens. We highlight the two clips on the lens, this will be helpful when it’s time to close the lens after installation.
Step # 3
Squeeze the tab on the plug and unplug the wire connector, we highlight the tab here.
Step # 4
There are another three clips locking the lens, insert your screwdriver and release each clip.
Step # 5
Remove the incandescent bulb.
Step # 6
Install the LED and rotate it so the chips face out towards the lens.
Step # 7
Unplug the wire connector and insert the lens back into the assembly.
Step # 8
Plug in the wire connector and insert the assembly into the housing from the bottom to the top, you will hear a snap once it is locked in.
Step # 9

2022 KIA SOUL LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS
Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- Flat trim tool
Step # 1
Insert the trim tool on either side to pry out the light housing.
Step # 2
Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the light housing.
Step # 3
Pull out the incandescent bulb and replace it with the new Alla lighting LED bulb.Â
Step # 4
Test the new bulb to make sure it is working correctly.Â
Step # 5
Match the large tab on the light socket with the large tab on the light housing.Â
Step # 6
Insert the light socket into the light housing and twist it clockwise to secure it in place.
Step # 7
Reinstall the light housing and push it until you hear a snap.Â
Step # 8
Repeat the same steps on the other side of the license plate.
Step # 9
