Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- 10mm Wrench.
- Tape.
The following information is step by step instructions on how to install your new Can Bus T20 7440 7443 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow Turn Signal Lights from ALLA Lighting
Step #1
The rear turn signals are located in the rear light housing. Begin by opening the tailgate.
Step #2
There are two tabs behind the housing and two bolts on the inside to remove the housing.
Step #3
Use your 10 millimeter wrench to remove the two bolts.
Step #4
Apply tape to the outside of the housing, hold the tape and pull the housing back to free the locking tabs behind the housing.
Step #5
We highlight here where the tabs from the housing lock into the frame.
Step #6
Remove the turn signal socket by turning it counterclockwise.
Step #7
Pull out the incandescent bulb.
Step #8
Replace it with the LED and test it.
Step #9
Line up the tabs on the socket with the slots in the housing.
Step #10
Pull the wire free from the clip to give yourself some more slack when installing the bulb.
Step #11
Install the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Step #12
Line up the locking tabs on the housing with the frame and push the housing in to lock them.
Step #13
Replace and tighten the two 10 millimeter bolts.
Step #14
Now repeat those steps on the other side.
These new LED bulbs are much brighter than the incandescent bulbs, plus these LEDs are canbus with no error code flickering or hyper flashing.
