Long story short – had to take it in to Toyota to replace the entire light housing. They found a crack on both headlights which they attributed as a stress crack, meaning it happened in Manufacturing. They said they had never seen anything like that on a car so new, so they replaced them pro bono.
The low beams were a bear to install in my 2017 SR5 4Runner. Driver side barely go in there and the passenger side, I had to remove the bracket off the truck, screw in the LED then re-install the bracket with the light in it. Once that was done, the top part of the LED didn’t fit properly, it was hitting against the metal housing above the slot and I couldn’t reinstall the bracket properly so there’s a small gap. am I the only one who’s had this problem? Definitely not an easy install and there seems to be a sizing issues with the low beams.
