Chevy Camaro 2010-2013 LED Headlight Installation

How to Install/Replace LED Headlights for a 2010- 2013 Chevy Camaro? 

Due to Chevy Camaro LED headlight bulbs upgrade becomes a trend for its brightness is much more than stock halogen headlamps, it is very necessary to show how to install LED headlights bulbs, and you can do it by yourself, save a lot of money & time instead of asking dealership or mechanics for help.

Today we will look at how to install your new LED headlight bulbs for your 2010- 2013 Camaro LED headlight bulbs upgrade (For 2010 -2013 Chevrolet Camaro, if the stock headlamp is halogen, then the bulb size is H13 9008, the stock high and low beam headlight bulb share the same bulb.)

As many of you know some times the installation process for replacing stock bulb to LED aftermarket bulbs may be a little challenging. Not to worry, we have a step by step installation process. Lets begin….

The installation guide for LED Headlights bulbs are from Alla Lighting: H13-D-CR-HL newest model; High illumination for further light output; Heat sync design for longer lifespan.

Firstly, we will start with opening your vehicle’s engine hood.

Step #1

Locate the vehicle stock halogen bulb housing.

Step #2

Turn stock halogen bulb counter-clockwise and remove from headlight housing.

Step #3

 Press down on the vehicle’s harness tab to release and disconnect the stock halogen bulb.

Step #4

 Once stock bulb is removed, connect Alla Lighting H13 LED Headlight bulb harness (connector) into the vehicle stock harness.

Step #5

Before inserting the LED bulb into vehicle housing, confirm LED beam direction is correct. For dual filament bulbs, each side of the LED bulb has 2 LED chip sets (for high and low beam) The LED chip set in higher position is the low beam and the LED chip set in lower position is the high beam. For optimal light output, once LED bulb is installed in housing, the LED chips should be facing left to right (side to side) with the higher LED chip set on top and the lower LED chip set on bottom.

Step #6 Connect the LED bulb socket to the vehicle’s harness.

Step #7

Align D-CR LED bulb tabs to vehicle’s housing and insert the LED bulb. Once inserted twist clock wise to lock into position.

Step #8

Once the LED bulb is inserted a locked into position in vehicle’s headlamp housing the LED chips should be aligned on the left and right.

Step #1

To adjust beam direction use the provided Allen Wrench tool to unscrew the housing.

Step #2

Remove the screw from the LED bulb housing.

Step #3

Twist the LED chuck (black ring) and the LED bulb in opposite directions to release the LED chuck and remove from the LED bulb.

Step #4

Flip the LED chuck 180 degrees to correctly align the LED chips (should then fit in your housing with the LED chips on the left and right- see Step 8)

for 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1 has H11 bulb as fog light, PSX26W as DRL
For ZL1 verson, it will have fog light and DRL separately

Rear Turn Signal Light Bulb: 3157
Center High Mounted Stop Light/3rd Brake Light: LED

Interior Lights:
Dome Light Bulb: W5W LL or 2825L
Trunk Light / Luggage Compartment Light Bulb: 175

Please note, for above applications upgrade to LED bulbs, for all interior lights, back-up reverse light, dual high and low beam headlight ,fog light, front and rear side marker light, daytime running light (DRL) and license plate light, just plug and play, easy installation.
Yet for turn signal light, extra load resistors maybe required to avoid the signal hyper flash.
