How to replace interior lights in a 2019 Honda Passport

Introduction:

This blog will show you how to replace all the interior stock lights in a 2019 Honda Passport with all new LED bulbs from ALLA Lighting.

Compatible Vehicles:

2019~2023 Honda Passport

Tools Needed for Installation:

A trim tool and a flathead screwdriver

The Following Information shows step by step the installation instructions on how to install all new Interior Map, Vanity, Center Console and Trunk LED Lights in a 2019 Honda Passport

Map Light

Step #1: push in the on and off button on the light.
Step #2: hold it in and use the trim tool to pry out the end to remove the clips holding it in.

Step #3: pull out the incandescent light bulb.

Step #4: install the LED bulb and test it.

Step #5: replace the lens. Line up the clips and push the lens in.

Step #6: repeat same steps on the other side.

Vanity Mirror Light

Step #1: flipping down the visor and flip up the vanity.

Step #2: there is a small gap at the bottom of the light. Use the screwdriver to gently pry it free.
Step #3: pull it down to remove the top tabs.

Step #4: use the screwdriver to pry out the incandescent bulb.

Step #5: install the LED bulb, test it and rotate it. So the LED chips face out.

Step #6: slide the top of the lens in first, then push in the bottom.
Step #7: repeat same steps for the other side.

Center Console Light

Step #1: open the center console. In the front of the console you’ll see the light housing. Use your finger to pull it out.
Step #2: turn the socket counterclockwise to unlock it.

Step #3: remove the incandescent light bulb and replace it with the LED bulb. Test the LED bulb.
Step #4: line up the tabs on the socket with the slots in the housing.
Step #5: install the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Step #6: push the housing back in.

Dome Light

Step #1: push in the outside of the light. Use the trim tool to pry out the end, then slide it to remove the clips holding it in.
Step #2: use some tape and wrap it around the incandescent bulb. Pull out the tape to remove the bulb.
Step #3: install the LED bulb and test it.
Step #4: replace the lens. Slide in the outside first and then push it in until clicks in place.
Step #5: repeat same steps for the other side.

Trunk Light

Step #1: use the trim tool to gently pry out the lens.
Step #2: remove the incandescent bulb.

Step #3: replace it with the LED bulb and test it.

Step #4: push the front of the lens and push the other side to lock it in place.

Items used in the video are as follows:

Map LED Light Bulb: T10-1616-4W

Vanity Mirror LED Light Bulb: 31MM-ETI-15W

Center Console LED Light Bulb: TLCR-T5-3030-W

Dome LED Light Bulb: T10-1616-4W

Truck LED Light Bulb: 4014-921-48W

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete in your 2019 Honda Passport. If you experienced any issues during your installation and unable to complete installation, please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
