How to Install 1994 – 2003 Ford F-150 LED Headlights Bulbs?

Compatible vehicles for 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 Ford F150 pick-up trucks with 9007 halogen headlamps.

Thirdly, we will show you the installation steps as below by pictures and words, the vehicle in the video & pictures is 2001 Ford F-150 as an example.

Step#1: Open hood, locate the headlamp housing, due to the limited space to access the stock 9007 halogen headlamp, we will remove the side marker assembly firstly as below shows:

Step#2: Use Torx T20 screw driver to remove the screw that lock the side marker light assembly, and pull out the assebmly out and put it aside.

Step#3: There are 2 clips that are holding the headlamps, push in and push up and then release the clock of the headlamp assembly.

Step#4: The are 3 clips at the side of side marker assembly which locks the headlamps assembly, push it out a little bit to do next step.

Step#5: Use a flat tool to disconnect the headlight bulb with the stock harness as below

Step#6: Twist the chunk counter clock-wise to remove it from the headlamp bulb, there are 3 notches that locks the bulb.

Step#7: Hold the bulb and take it out from the headlight housing.

Step#7: If the led headlight bulb is quite slim, and the chunk from step#6 can go through the LED bulb’s body, then please follow below steps; Yet if the led headlight bulb body is not slim, please go to Step#13 directly.

Step#8: Just make the chunk go through the LED headlight bulb’s connector and its body to the body connection and twist clockwise to lock it as below shown:

Step#9: Plug the 9007 LED headlight bulb’s connector into stock harness:

Step#10:Please check the led headlight bulb installed correctly for its beam patterns by checking the LED chips facing left and right requirement, and for the one side led chips, the upper LED chips for low beam, which require facing right; and the lower led chips for high beam, which require facting toward left like below shows, if not correctly, then it will require to adjust the beam pattern. Step#11: Test the led bulbs to check whether it works for high and low beam normally, and also please make sure the beam pattern is correct.

Step#12: install back the stock headlamp housing and side marker light assembly too, the same steps for the other sides.

Yet if the 9007 LED headlight bulbs you have are not slim enough that can make the truck go through directly, please follow below steps:

Step#13: Remove the LED headlight bulb’s retainer by using L-wrench to loose the screw or maybe push down and twist and can remove it, which depends on the bulb’s design.

Step#14: Then make the chunk from Step#6 go through the led headlight bulb’s body which close to the bulb’s bottom part, and then install back the led headlight bulb’s retainer and lock it by screw or twist it.

Step#15: Insert the LED headlight bulbs into the headlamp housing and twist clock wise to lock it and then repeat the above steps #9 – 12.
