Tools Needed for Installation:Â
- 10mm Wrench.
- Tape.
The following information is step by step instructions on how to install your new CAN-BUS 912 921 LED Bulbs CSP Backup Reverse Lights Replacement.
Step #1
The reverse lights are located in the rear light housing, beginning by opening the tailgate.
Step #2
There are two tabs behind the housing and two bolts on the inside to remove the whole assembly.
Step #3
Use your 10 millimeter wrench to remove the two bolts.
Step #4
Apply tape to the outside of the housing, hold the tape and pull the housing back to free the locking tabs behind the housing.
Step #5
We highlight here where the tabs from the housing lock into the frame.
Step #6
Remove the reverse light socket by turning it counterclockwise.
Step #7
Pull out the incandescent bulb.
Step #8
Replace it with the LED and test it.
Step #9
The LED has a rubber ring to secure it.
Step #10
Install the LED into the housing and adjust it until the clips face out at the three o’clock and nine o’clock positions.
Step #11
Line up the locking tabs in the housing with the frame and push the housing in to lock them.
Step #12
Replace and tighten the two 10 millimeter bolts.
Step #13
Repeat the same steps on the other side.
These new LED bulbs are much better at lighting up the area around the back of your car for safe reversing.

Congratulations! Your LED back up reverse light installation is now complete in your 2021 Toyota Tacoma.
