Introduction: 2019-2023 Chevy Malibu
This blog will explain how to replace the interior lights (Interior Vanity Mirror Lights and Interior Dome Lights) in this 2022 Chevy Malibu with all new LED bulbs from ALLA Lighting.
Compatible Vehicles:
2019-2023 Chevy Malibu
Tools Needed for Installation:
1) Flathead screwdriver
2) Flat trim toolÂ
3) Electrical TapeÂ
The Following Information shows step by step the installation instructions on how to install interior lights (Interior Vanity Mirror Lights and Interior Dome Lights) for a 2019-2023 Chevy Malibu
Step #1: Vanity Mirror Lights
- Begging by flipping down the visor and flipping up the lid.Â
- There are 4 clips holding on the lens. Insert the screwdriver into the little slot on the side. Pry out the slot and them the top and bottom clips and remove the lens.Â
- Pop out the incandescent bulb with the screwdriver.Â
- Install the LED bulb and rotate it, so the chips face out.Â
- Install the lens by inserting the inside tabs first. Then push in the other side.Â
- Repeat those steps on the other lens.Â
Step #2: Dome Lights
- There are 6 clips to pry free to remove the lens. Use the trim tool to pry the down corner. Then pry free the opposite corner and slide the trim tool around the edge to free the rest of the clips.Â
- Pull the incandescent bulb out. You can use same tape wrapped around the bulb to pull it out or can use your finder to reach the bulb.Â
- Install the LED bulbs and test them.Â
- Line up the clips on the lens with the slots in the housing. Push the edges of the lens to lock it in.Â

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete in your 2019-2023 Chevy Malibu. If you experienced any issues during your installation and unable to complete installation, please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
