How to Replace | Remove | 2021 Toyota Tacoma Side Mirror Turn Signal Lights Assembly

The halogen exterior light bulbs may be too dim in your 2021Toyota Tacoma, which can make vision difficult, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading the old halogen bulbs on your Toyota Tacoma with new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle and improve visibility at night for a safer driving experience.
If you choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct replacement LED bulb by referring to the original bulb or the vehicle’s direct owner’s manual.
We will show you how to install your new ALLA Lighting LED mirror turn signal light assembly.
Tools Needed for Installation:
- Trim tool
- Phillips screwdriver.
Step #1
The mirror light assembly is located in the side mirrors. To remove the assembly we first need to remove the back cover.
Step #2
Insert your trim tool into the front edge of the cover and open up a gap.
Step #3
Now peel the top of the cover away from the mirror.
Step #4
Use your trim tool in the bottom gap and slide the tool around the bottom edge of the cover to pull it free.
Step #5
We highlight here the clips holding the cover onto the mirror.
Step #6
There are two Phillips screws holding on this black bracket.
Step #7
Remove the screws and then pinch the back side of the clip while prying free the bracket.
Step #8
You can now wiggle free the light assembly and slide it out.
Step #9
Push down on the wire connector tab and pull it off.
Step #10
Plug the wire connector onto the new assembly.
Step #11
Slide the assembly back into place until it is behind the front edge and the holes for the screw and the cliff line up.
Step #12
Push the bracket in and replace the two screws.
Step #13
Line up the cover with the mirror putting the bottom edge in first.
Step #14
Push the cover up and out to secure it.
Step #15
Now repeat those steps for the other side.
We have now completed the installation of the new mirror turn signal assembly on this 2021 Toyota Tacoma.
