2013-2023 Chevy Malibu Dome LED Bulb replace with all new LED bulbs from ALLA Lighting
Introduction:
This blog will explain step by step how to replace or upgrade the dome light bulbs in this 2013-2023 Chevy Malibu with all new LED bulbs from ALLA Lighting.
Compatible Vehicles:
2013-2023 Chevy Malibu
Tools Needed for Installation:
Flat trim tool and some tape.
The Following Information shows step by step the installation instructions on how to install dome light bulbs on a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu with all new LED bulbs from ALLA Lighting (also applicable for 2013-2023 Chevy Malibu’s)
Step #1: Locate the stock dome light bulbs
There are six clips to pry free to remove the lens, on the front corner opposite the buttons.
- Use the trim tool to pry down the corner.
- Now pry down the opposite corner.
- Slide the trim tool around the edge to free the rest of the clips.
Step #2: Remove the incandescent light bulb
Remove the incandescent light bulb. There are two different methods to remove the dome light bulbs.
First method: use some tape wrapped around the incandescent bulb. Pull the tape to remove the bulb.
Second method: if you can reach the incandescent bulb with your fingers, you can just pull the bulb out.
Step #3: Install the LED light bulb and test it.
Install the new ALLA Lighting LED bulbs and test both bulbs.
Step #4: Replace the lens
To replace the lens, please follow the next steps:
- Line up the clips on the lens with the slots in the housing.
- Push the edges of the lens to lock it in.
The incandescent bulbs don’t do much to light up the interior. These new ALLA Lighting LED bulbs light up the entire cabin all the way to the floor.

Congratulations!! Your installation is now complete in your 2013-2023 Chevy Malibu Dome light application. If you experienced any issues during your installation and unable to complete installation, please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues occur due to the LEDs low current nature which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
