The halogen exterior light bulbs may be too dim in your Toyota Tacoma, which can make vision difficult, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading the old halogen bulbs on your Toyota Tacoma with new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle and improve visibility at night for a safer driving experience.
If you choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct replacement LED bulb by referring to the original bulb or the vehicle’s direct owner’s manual.
We will show you how to install your new ALLA Lighting LED bulbs for your High Beam headlight application.
Bulb sizes for the 2021 Toyota Tacoma High Beam headlight bulb is # H9.
The following information is step by step instructions on how to install your Brightest H11 LED Forward Lightings Conversion Kit Bulbs H8 H9
Step #1
The high beams are the inside headlight bulb.
Step #2
Reach behind the headlight housing to access the high beam bulb.
Step #3
Turn the bulb counterclockwise to unlock it.
Step #4
Push in the tab on the wire connector and pull it off the bulb.
Step #5
Plug in the LED bulb and test it.
Step #6
Line up the tabs on the LED with the slots in the housing.
Step #7
Install the bulb and turn it clockwise to lock it. You’ll need to turn the bulb clockwise until the chuck hits the stop block and continue turning until it’s locked.
Step #8
You can adjust the bulb by pushing in and turning the bulb until the pigtail is pointed down at the six o’clock position and the LED chips are facing out at three o’clock and nine o’clock.

Now repeat those steps for the other side.

Reach behind the headlight housing to access the high beam bulb.
Step #11
Turn the bulb counterclockwise to unlock it.
Step #12
Push in the tab on the wire connector and pull it off the bulb.

Plug in the LED bulb and test it.
Step #14
You’ll need to turn the bulb clockwise until the chuck hits the stop block and continue turning until it’s locked.
Step #15
You can adjust the bulb by pushing in and turning the bulb until the pigtail is pointed down at six o’clock and the LED chips are facing out at the three o’clock and 9 o’clock positions.
These led high beam bulbs are significantly brighter than the halogen bulbs. When we measure the output with our light meter the LED measures more than 15 times brighter than the halogen bulbs.

Congratulations! Your LED high beam headlight installation is now complete in your 2021 Toyota Tacoma. If you experienced any issues during your installation and unable to complete installation, please contact us for assistance. If the LED bulbs are experiencing hyper-flashing, flickering, an error code issues, then load resistors for this application will be required to be installed. These issues can occur due to the LEDs low current nature, which draws much less current than original stock halogen bulbs.
