How to Install 2018-2023 Chevrolet Equinox License Plate Lights Bulb
Ready to upgrade your old halogen bulbs? Learn how to replace and complete the installation for LED bulbs. Easy installation and tips!
The halogen exterior bulbs may be too dim in your 2018-2023 Chevrolet Equinox, which can make vision difficult, especially in bad weather or severe driving conditions. Upgrading the old halogen bulbs on your 2018-2023 Chevrolet Equinox with new aftermarket LED bulbs can add a great new look to your vehicle and improve visibility at night for a safer driving experience.
If you choose to upgrade your old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs, it is best to confirm you have the correct replacement LED bulb by referring to the original bulb or 2018-2023 Chevrolet Equinox direct owner’s manual.

Tool Needed for Installation:
- Trim tool
The following information is step by step instructions on how to install your new 2825 194 168 LED Bulbs replacements.
Step #1
The license plate lights are located above the license plate.
Step #2
Insert your trim tool into the slot on the inside edge of the housing.
Step #3
Push it towards the outside, and pull it down.
Step #4
Turn the socket counterclock wise to remove it.
Step #5
Pull out the incandescent bulb.
Step #6
Replace it with the LED, and test it.
Step #7
Line up the tabs on the socket with the slots in the housing.
Step #8
Install the socket back into the housing and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Step #9
Slide the inside of the assembly first, then push it up into place.
Step #10
Now repeat those steps on the other side.
Step #11
Use your trim tool to push it towards the outside and pull it down.
Step #12
Turn the socket counterclock wise to remove it.
Step #13
Pull out the incandescent bulb.
Step #14
Replace it with the LED and test it.
Step #15
Line up the tabs on the socket with the slots in the housing.
Step #16
Install the socket back into the housing, and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Step #17
Slide the inside of the assembly first, then push it up into place.
Compared to the incandescent bulbs, these new LED bulbs are much brighter and look great for the license plate lights in 6000k white.

Congratulations! Your LED License Plate Lights Bulbs installation is now complete in your 2018-2023 Chevrolet Equinox.
